free yourself, so you can free me, free us , 2025

Acrylic and oil pastel on canvas

36 x 48 x 1.5 in

I paint landscapes that feel larger than the body, yet deeply internal. The scaffold structures that appear in my work represent what holds us together during moments of change. They are provisional, imperfect, but necessary.

The winged figures are not literal. They represent motion, protection, and the possibility of becoming something new. The solitary figure stands in relationship to vastness, reminding us that transformation is personal and lived.

I am interested in what it means to rebuild. Not to return to what was, but to construct something different. These paintings imagine a future shaped by adaptation, resilience, and expanded possibility.
