I am an interdisciplinary, queer, and Filipino/x artist based in San Francisco. I work with ceramics, sculpture, and found objects to narrate identities attached to culture and gender. I look to the body; of my own, in mythology/folklore, and of communities of color and queerness; which inspire my ideas and means of creating. Thinking of birthdays as rebirth, buffalos for humans, or tubes as communicators when making artwork, are some motifs I turn to in visual literacy and ideation. Inventing new worlds is my personal craft for healing and rewriting narratives. This comes from my background as a queer Filipinx-American, brought up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the Philippines.
